Dresden to Add Another Police Officer

The Dresden Board of Alderman have approved the hiring of another police officer to help with manpower issues facing the Dresden Police Department. With crime problems erupting in Dresden; residents and officials said another officer being hired would help the situation. Chief Randal Walker said he wants at least two people working per shift. This will mean officers will be able to back each other up. The board of alderman voted four to two in favor of the new officer. Chief Walker says applications are now being accepted for a certified officer.
