7 Eyewitness News now knows the name of the Jackson man hit by a car Monday night on North Highland. Jackson Police said Alex Wilkins, 35, is in critical conditions after almost 24 hours after being hit while walking across the roadway. Witnesses told police, Wilkins appeared intoxicated just before he tried to cross North Highland. Investigators said due to the snow falling at the time, visibility was limited, which could have been a factor. Officers said their investigation continues. At this point, no charges have been filed.
