Humboldt Celebrates Christmas at Bailey Park
One West Tennessee city ushered in the holiday season in grand fashion. The Christmas spirit was present, Thursday night with Christmas at Bailey Park. A children’s parade circled the park’s walking track and Santa Claus was even there to lead the way. The night also included story time and of course, lots of Christmas songs. Organizers said it was a great way to bring the city together. “We are a close-knit community. This helps us focus on that, this helps us even improve among that in the coming year to make this city, this community even better that it has been the year before,” said Gil Fletcher, executive director of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce. The city also used the night as a way to help those in need in the community by distributing donated coats to anyone who needed one.
