New Businesses Hiring in Crockett Co.
Two new businesses are coming to Crockett County. Just off U.S. Highway 412 in Bells at the Highway 88 overpass a new Flash Mart and a McDonald’s are being built. Opening for both businesses is set for February 29. “When you start talking sixty people here is Crockett County, that is a considerable amount of people. We are very happy to have them come in,” said Crockett County Mayor Gary Reasons. The McDonald’s and Flash Mart will be open 24 hours a day. Applications are now being accepted for the McDonald’s jobs. If you are interested in applying contact the Crockett County Chamber of Commerce at (731) 696-5120. “These won’t be super high-paying jobs, but they will offer the opportunity for a lot of people to seek employment,” said Reasons. The City of Bells was able to annex the area in order that they can have the sewer that is needed. “When you have a twenty-four hour shift and seating that many people it is a good opportunity for employment for a lot of people in the county, ” said Mayor Reasons. Next month a new steak house will open on U.S. Highway 412 a half mile down the road from the McDonald’s and Flash Mart. “We are very fortunate here in the past couple of months that we have had a lot of interest in some new businesses,” said Reasons.
