Jimmerson Indicted in Walmart Shooting

The Hardeman County man who police said confessed to shooting his wife outside a Jackson Walmart in August was indicted by a Madison County grand jury, Monday. Wallace Jimmerson, 52, of Toone, was indicted on charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and a weapons count. Investigators said on August 23, Jimmerson followed his wife to work at the south Jackson Walmart and tried to run over her before shooting her. She has since recovered. Jimmerson was being held in lieu of $125,000 bond. He will be arraigned in Madison County Circuit Court on December 12.
