Chickering Road House Fire

Jackson firefighters responded to a house fire Wednesday night on Chickering Road in north Jackson. According to the fire department, no one was at home when the fire started just after 7 p.m. There were no signs as to how the fire began. however, the believe it started at the front of the house. Investigators said it took a couple of hours for fire crews to extinguish the flames due to the large amount of belongings inside the house. The fire is still under investigation.
