Man Arrested in Humboldt Asault Case

A Gibson County man is facing charges in connection with the assault of a Humboldt man. Charles Arthur Levingston, 53, of Dyer, is charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest in the alleged attack on a Humboldt man. Police said just before 3, Wednesday morning they responded to an assault call in the 1300 block of 13th Avenue. Officers said they found a victim with facial injuries who told them he had been struck with a chair and then thrown off a porch. Levingston is being held in the Gibson County jail while awaiting arraignment in Humboldt General Sessions Court.
