Thieves struck twice at a Henry County bed and breakfast, and officials said it was a family affair. Deputies said the 63-year-old mother was the ring leader of the crew that included her 39-year-old daughter and 30-year-old son. Danny Williams has owned Mammy’s and Pappy’s Bed and Breakfast in Henry County for six years, but lately things have gotten pretty rough. “I knew it was a matter of time before they were going to come back,” said owner Williams. He said the first time the mother, daughter, son trio broke into the business through the back door. Deputies said the three took a four- wheeler, trailer and four brand new microwaves, among other things. “The second time they came back, they brought the trailer that they had originally brought back the first time,” said Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew. Henry County officials said the bold thieves even stashed items in the back of the property to get it later. Williams said he camped out for a week. The owner said he heard a noise early Monday morning and took matters and a rifle into his own hands. “I shot it and they went around the building. They tried to come through a barbed wired fence. They didn’t make it but I was standing over there by the time they did with a rifle pointed toward their windshield,” said Williams. That is when officials said the suspects abandoned their car and fled into the woods, only to be caught by deputies just hours later. Deputies arrested and charged the accused family with aggravated burglary. “We were able to further link them back to a Kentucky address where we were able to uncover stolen property from this address,” said Belew. Deputies also recovered other reported stolen items from Henry County and Calloway County, Kentucky. They said they also discovered a marijuana grow operation in the home.
