There is good news for the local economy and for West Tennesseans who are out of work. The Jackson Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday afternoon that Jackson Die Casting is expanding its facility, which will create 58 new jobs over the next three years. The company which is owned by Dallas-based Key 3 Casting produces metal castings for industrial, aerospace, automotive and public infrastructure projects. Local leaders said the expansion is a testament to West Tennessee workers. “When your current industries are expanding, that also tells companies that are looking from other parts of the country to located in West Tennessee that this is a good place to do business,” Kyle Spurgeon, president, Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. “All of our current industries know that when they compete or put in a position where they are competing for projects, capitol investment dollars to be put somewhere in their operation that Jackson will step up to the plate and be able to help with that process.” Jackson Die Casting will begin hiring after the first of the year. To apply, you will need to call the company after January 1.
