Tigrett Recives Shape-Up Grant

A Jackson-Madison County middle school received a $10,000 grant for physical education, Thursday. Tigrett Middle School was one of 20 school across the state of Tennessee that received the ‘Shape the State” grant for their physical education program. The grant from Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Tennessee will go towards buying improved physical education curriculum and materials. “Our kids deserve it, they are excited about it, they got a chance to hold that $10,000 check this morning, and they are excited,” said Principal Dexter Williams of Tigrett Middle School. Tigrett was the only school in Madison County to receive the grant.
