Boys and Girls Club Hosts Santa

Many area kids had an opportunity to visit with a man that is pretty busy especially at this time of year. Kids who are members of the Jackson Boys and Girls Club met with Santa late Friday afternoon at the club’s location on Lexington Avenue. Santa listened as the children compared notes on their wish lists and what they would like for him to bring them this year. Organizers said the kids were very excited to meet with St. Nick as he prepared for his annual journey delivering toys around the world. “We wanted the children to be able to express to Santa what they would like to have for Christmas,” said Sabrina Anderson, executive director of the Jackson Boys and Girls Club. “Some of them are really excited about it and they are able to say, ‘Oh, wow, Santa Claus.'” The children also were treated to milk and cookies. The visit with Santa was made possible by members of the Jackson Cotillion Club. This was the first year the kids have had a chance to meet personally with Santa.
