As you know, Santa knows when children are good, when children are being bad and always knows how to communicate with every child. Friday, St. Nick visited with students of the West Tennessee School for the Deaf. Each of the school’s children, who range from toddlers to middle schoolers, had the chance to visit with Santa who spoke to them in sign language. “At least one time a year they can visit and they can successfully communicate with Santa, tell him what they want and feel very typical to their peers,” said Kristi Lindsey, principal with West TN School for the Deaf. “I hope the kids see that they can communicate with Santa, that they are very like their brothers and sisters who may be hearing and that they get to tell Santa Claus what they want for Christmas, because that’s one of the most important thing in their lives right now to them.” There are 52 students at the West Tennessee School for the Deaf.
