It will be a Merry Christmas for some very special children in Hardin County, all thanks to the kindness of strangers. Friday, employees from the Design Team delivered to a special needs class at West Hardin Elementary School in Crump. The workers raised close to $8,000 throughout the year from payroll deductions to fund the program. In all, they bought gifts close to 90 special needs students in the Hardin County School District. “We’re helping 90 different children in Hardin County and bringing them gifts and seeing smiles and laughter and joy; and it brings joy to us to see them,” said Tracy Hornbeak, project manager for Design Team. “To help others that you don’t know and to see a smile on another person’s face should bring you more joy than it does for them.” Each year, the company chooses a different organization for its year-end donation.
