Kids Sing at Nursing Homes

Children of the St. John’s Number One Baptist Church Youth Group performed at three West Tennessee nursing homes this week. “Sometimes they have family that can’t come that live far away or sometimes they don’t have anyone to visit them. So we are bringing Christmas joy and smiles and just wishing everybody merry Christmas,” said Youth Adviser Twanna Irvin. The group sang Christmas carols to residents and brought Christmas presents to hand out. The children range age 6 to teenagers. The group’s director said the children were happy to bring joy to some deserving people.
