Shoppers Seek After Christmas Deals; Make Returns
For many West Tennesseans the holiday shopping continued on Monday and said the deals were better than ever. According to shoppers the day after Christmas is well known for being the day people return their unwanted presents. Analyst expect $46 billion worth of merchandise to be returned on Monday alone. Many shoppers said they are also fighting the crowds to find the best post-Christmas bargains. “We got in and the woman’s winter outer wear was just outrageously reduced so that’s what we got. I think we got two bags full,” said Megan Griffin, a shopper. Reports show traditionally the day after Christmas is known as the second busiest shopping holiday of the year.
