KY Landmark Destroyed By Fire
Fire officials say they suspect arson in a blaze that destroyed a historic school building that had become a landmark in Pulaski County.
Eubank fire chief Norman Rutheford told the Commonwealth Journal that the cause of Friday night’s fire at the old Eubank graded and high school, “appears to be” arson because it is the latest in a series of fires set at the school, which has been vacant for the last 20 years
He said the facility, which was built in the 1920s, was “gutted completely” on the inside though a burned-out shell remained on the outside.
An investigation into the blaze continues.
