MKL to Receive Grant for Runway

McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport will be getting an upgrade. Jackson and Madison County has been awarded a $1.4 million grant by the Tennessee Division of Aeronautics. The money will be used to rebuild one of its runways. The short runway is a crosswind, or diagonal runway that is the only one of its kind between Memphis and Nashville.
