TN Men Face Hate Crime Charges
Two men have been charged in Maury County, Tenn., with civil rights intimidation and multiple counts of vandalism for defacing homes.
According to The Daily Herald, investigators said the two defaced four homes New Year’s Eve with racial slurs and other symbols of hate
The Maury County Sheriff’s Department said 19-year-old Dakota James Calderhead and 18-year-old Kristian Mathis, both of Spring Hill, spray painted the homes in a subdivision in Spring Hill with racial epithets and swastikas and hung a noose in the yard of at least one of the homes.
The two were being held at Maury County Jail without bond.
