TDOT Readies for Possible Snow
As soon as Wednesday night, parts of West Tennessee could see snowfall and that has road crews ready. The Tennessee Department of Transportation estimates it has 25,000 tons of salt in the Jackson region, with crews standing-by TO to treat the roads, overnight and tomorrow morning. TDOT crews based in Jackson are responsible for 8,200 miles of Interstate and secondary highways. There are 29 salt bins strategically placed throughout West Tennessee and $3.1 million bugeted for ice and snow response for West Tennessee.
