Carroll Co. Fertilizer Distributor Growing
In an economy where many companies are struglling to stay alive, one Carroll County company is booming. Sanders Corporation announced this week they are expanding their fertilizer distributor company in the area. For the past year,Sanders has provided seed and liquid fertilizer to the Carroll County area. Now, they have purchased a large warehouse and are building a dry fertilizer building in the South McKenzie Industrial Park. McKenzie’s Sanders Corporation general manager Brad Haynes said this will now allow them to create custom blends of fertilizers for the local farmers they deliver to. They also plan to hire up to 10 additional employees by March. “We love it here. We feel like it’s a good opportunity for us to grow the business here in West Tennessee. Sanders is looking at West Tennessee and they feel like it was a good opportunity to grow their business here and we’re just glad to be part of it,” said Haynes. This expansion is part Sanders Corporation’s $ 5 million investment in the Carroll County area.
