Home Makeover In East Tennessee
Rebuilding a rundown East Tennessee farm house as a project of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” promises to benefit more than one family.
The show’s selection of Daniel Watson, his wife, Mandy, and their three adopted youngsters is also a blessing for other single mothers and their children sheltered on the property as residents of the Restoration House of East Tennessee.
A long list of makeover needs includes a sinking foundation and leaky roof.
More than 3,000 volunteers have provided food, donated supplies and pitched in under lead builder Grace Construction.
Before the show sent the family on a Florida vacation, Watson told the Knoxville News Sentinel “it’s been amazing” to see a community respond to help.
The Watsons get to see the replacement house Tuesday.
