MCSD Investigating Home Invasion

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department is investigating and early morning home where two adults and four children were inside a West Madison County home. According to investigators, one of the residents was shot. Investigators said at 2:45 Tuesday morning, they were called to a home in the 700 block of Womack Lane in Denmark. The victim told investigators that three black men forced their way into the residence shouting the word ‘police’ and demanding money. The victim said he stepped out into the hallway and encountered an armed suspect who began shooting. As a result, the victim was hit in the lower body. He was transported to The Med in Memphis for treatment but has been released.
