Council to Consider Traffic Light Near North Park

Getting in and out of one of Jackson’s busiest parks could soon get a little easier. At its next meeting, the Jackson City Council will consider will consider placing a traffic light at the intersection of Demonbreun, which leads directly to North Park. Over the past few years, the city has received several complaints about the difficulty of getting in and out of the park. “I think it’d be a good idea I mean there’s a park down here and I always take my daughter down here so it would help us getting out and getting in safer,” said Mark Bowlin, who visits North Park. “I never really have an trouble getting out with the stop sign so, I don’t think it really needs one,” said Monica Thomas, who also visits North Park. The Jackson City Council’s next meeting is Tuesday at 9 a.m.
