Meeting about Proposed Lane Avenue Closure

Jackson city leaders and representatives from Lane College will sit down Thursday morning to talk about the hot button issue of closing down a portion of Lane Avenue. School representatives believe closing Lane Avenue to vehicles, which cuts through the campus of Lane College, would help create a safe campus. The closure would involve about two blocks from Hays to Middleton. The meeting is set for 10 a.m. at City Hall.
