7 Eyewitness News can tell you which three candidates made the cut to fill the vacant circuit court judgeship in the 26 Judicial District, which was left empty when Judge Roger Page was appointed to the Court of Criminal Appeals. Dale Conder, Junior received the most votes by the judicial nominating commission which met Friday in Jackson. Harold Johnson received the least and will not move forward in the nominating process. Jackson attorney Nathan Pride garnered the second most votes, while Henderson attorney Lloyd Tatum also made it through this round of interviews. “Every time the commission meets it is a tough decision to make, said Mary Helen Beard of the Tennessee Judicial Nominating Committee. “We have many qualified attorneys throughout the state of Tennessee that have many high credentials.” THE 26th Judicial District includes Madison, Henderson, and Chester Counties. It is unclear when Governor Haslam could make his decision regarding the position.
