Bank Robbery Suspect Goes to Court
The man accused of robbing a Trenton bank at gunpoint last month appeared in court Friday morning for his preliminary hearing. However, the hearing for Ron Woody, 47, was continued. That is because prosecutors said Woody will likely be indicted on a more serious federal charge in the next few weeks. The district attorney said the state charge of armed robbery will then be dropped. Court papers showed Woody was arrested after allegedly trying to cash in the stolen money, stained with dye, at two Humboldt banks.
