Celebrity Waiters Earn Tips for Make-A-Wish
Hundreds of West Tennesseans packed a Jackson restaurant to help make a child’s wish come true. The Make-A -Wish Foundation hosted Dining with the Stars at Coyote Blues Restaurant, Thursday evening. 7 Eyewitness News anchor Keli McAlister served as one of the guest waiters who helped out during the event. All of the tips and additional donations given during the dinner hours went toward helping make a local child’s wish come true. “Of the 17 kids that we have waiting for wishes it could help to purchase a computer for a waiting child, it could cover a room redo, it could sponsor a child to go to Disney World, any number of those things, but it goes directly to granting wishes,” said Miranda Harbor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The typical cost to grant a wish is at least $5,000.
