KY Mayor Faces DUI Charge
A central Kentucky mayor is facing a drunken driving charge.
Versailles police spokesman Lt. Daniel Clark told the Lexington Herald-Leader that the town’s mayor, Fred Siegelman, was charged early Sunday with driving under the influence (http://bit.ly/AlwGxt).
The newspaper reports Siegelman refused a breath test and was taken to the Woodford County Detention Center.
VINELink, a website that lists information about jail inmates, did not have information on whether Siegelman has an attorney but said he had been released from custody on Sunday.
Siegelman has been mayor of Versailles since 1998.
