Head Start Students Celebrate Dr. Seuss
Students at Washington-Douglas Head Start in Jackson set aside some time Thursday to celebrate a famous author. Kids participated in a parade of hats to mark Dr. Seuss‘ birthday one day early. Children also had a chance to sample an entrée from one of his most famous books, Green Eggs and Ham. Washington-Douglas Head Start Center Coordinator Charlotte Wilson said, “I hope they’ll be able to engage into the activities and celebrate and enjoy but also learn the meaning of literacy and how important reading is.” Dr. Seuss‘ birthday is March 2.
