Greene County Investigates Double Slaying
Greene County authorities say two people found dead under a Nolichuckey (NOH’-lih-chuk-ee) River bridge had been shot.
The statement by Sheriff Steve Burns was reported by The Greeneville Sun (http://bit.ly/yy8o0n ), which also reported the victims’ names.
The sheriff identified them as 20-year-old Cortney Amber Thompson and 42-year-old Terrance Andre Stewart.
The victims’ bodies were discovered under the Newport Highway Bridge early Sunday.
An investigation into the deaths continues.
