North Side Student Faces Drug Charges

A North Side High School student is facing drug charges after school officials said they found marijuana in his book bag. Johnathan Curry, 18, of Jackson faces a charge of possessing marijuana with intent to resell in a drug-free zone. Officers said Curry was initially searched because he was suspected of having a stolen cell phone. That is when the drugs and $262 were found. Curry posted a $5,000 bond and will appear in court, Thursday morning.
