Regional Hosptial Opens New Unit

If you suffer from seizure disorders there is a new unit at a Jackson hospital that can help with your illness. Regional Hospital of Jackson has opened a seizure monitoring specializing in inpatient care. The unit us designed to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with such disorders. The unit is staffed with specailly trained medical personnel who will take care of patients 24-hours a day. State of the art computer equipment is used to diagnose and develop treatment plans for those dealing with seizures. “The seizure monitoring unit also helps us to determine which patients may benefit from further interventions such as epileptic surgeries,” said Dr. Bola Adamolekua, a neurologist with the Seizure Monitoring Unit. “The seizure monitoring unit can help us fine tune or make charges to therapies of patients who have intractable seizures.” For additional information on the unit, contact Regional Hospital at (731) 661-2000.
