Shannon Street Blues and Heritage Fesival Renamed

Jackson’s longest running festival has a new name. The Shannon Street Blues and Heritage Festival will now be known as as The Shannon Street Blues and Heritage Festival will now be known as the Shannon Street MusicFest. The two-day event includes, not only music, but a street festival and bar-b-que cook-off. The new name was part of a contest in which five different participants won 100 dollars. The Shannon Street MusicFest is set for June 1 and 2 on Court Square in downtown Jackson. Local legend Denise LaSalle will perform the night of the June 2.
