Two Charged in Grand Junction PD Break-in

Arrests have been made in the break-in at the Grand Junction Police Department earlier this month. Patrick Leighton Ryan, 19 , who is the son of ousted Police Chief Pat Ryan and James Lee Grantham, 20, of Bolivar are charged in the March 10 break-in. Each faces theft charges. Ryan faces and additional burglary charge and three separate drug counts. According to court documents, items such as police badges, evidence logs, drugs, rifles and handguns were stolen from the police department. Investigators said three days after the burglary , the two sold one of the stolen guns to an informant. Ryan remained jailed in lieu of a $100,000 bond. Grantham is currently free on a $2,500 bond. Both are scheduled to return to court on April 3.
