Chamber Honors Business, Celebrates Volunteers
More than 300 people spent their lunch hour, Thursday celebrating the success of members of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. The group held its annual celebration at the Carl Grant Events Center on the campus of Union University. The celebration honored six different businesses and non-profit groups who were recognized for their outstanding operations and overall success. “These businesses that have reached the prime success here in our region, they are businesses that have been doing great things in our community and we look for more great things from those businesses in the coming years,” said Beth Parnell of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. There was on individual award presented today, for Volunteer of the Year, which was presented to Ben Ferguson, president and CEO of Personnel Placements. Other award winners include: West Tennessee Healthcare Health and Wellness Award: Jackson Energy Authority Non-Profit of the Year: Wo/Men‘s Resource & Rape Assistance Program (WRAP) Emerging Business of the Year: Raines Design Industry of the Year: Pinnacle Foods Group Inc. Business of the Year (1-49 Employees): Commercial Bank & Trust Company Business of the Year (50+ Employees): Leaders Credit Union
