Hardin Co. Middle Closed Again Monday
Hardin County Middle School students will get yet another day off from class Monday, after a major water line broke inside their school early Friday morning. School district officials notified parents Sunday afternoon that students will not have class on Monday, but faculty and staff will still have to show up for work at 8 a.m. According to the utility director, up to 200,000 gallons of water flooded the middle school, resulting in damage costs estimated between $100,000 to $200,000. Maintenance workers said the water line has been repaired, and they will continue to conduct tests to make sure the school is safe before students return. Officials said class should be back in session again on Tuesday.
