MS Names New College Board Chief
Ed Blakeslee will take over as president of the state College Board on Sunday.
Blakeslee, a Gulfport resident, has served on the board since 2004 when he was appointed by then-Gov. Haley Barbour. His term expires in May 2015.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/HgcGvd ) Blakeslee takes over for Robin Robinson, who has served as president for the past year.
Blakeslee received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University.
He also is a certified public accountant. He began working at Mississippi Power in 1965 and retired as vice president of the company.
