The new air carrier at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport has not bee in Jackson very long, but is already getting good reviews from the airport. Seaport Airlines has been in business at McKellar-Sipes for just more than two months. Seaport became the official commercial airline for the airport in late January. Unlike past carriers, Seaport offers service to both Memphis and Nashville, seven days a week. Officials said they have seen nothing but positive results from the new air carrier. “What we’ve really noticed is that customer complaints have been almost non-existent, there are a few things that happen no matter what you do, they’re going to be issues, but I would say in two months we may have had one complaint,” said Steve Smith, executive director of the Madison County Airport Authority. Seaport is based in Portland, Oregon and serves airports in the states of Washington, Arkansas, Kansas, Tennessee, Missouri Texas and Alaska.
