Jimmerson Pleads Guilty to Trying to Kill His Wife

The Hardeman County man charged with shooting his wife outside the Walmart in south Jackson last August pleaded guilty, Thursday. Wallace Jimmerson entered his plea in Madison County courtroom to attempted first degree murder and using a weapon in a dangerous felony. He was sentenced to 26 years in prison. On August 23, Jimmerson admitted to following his wife from their home in Toone to her work after they fought. He said he tried to first run-over her, then got out of his vehicle and shot her. She was hit in her arm and both legs with shotgun pellets, but survived.
