New Program to Help Kids be Fit
A West Tennessee school was awarded a grant to help kids stay healthy. Rent One Incorporated visited the Harrelson School in Henry County, Friday to present the Fitness and Activity Gram. The program is designed to help pre-teens become physically fit. The company also awarded the school with a $750 grant to buy physical fitness equipment. Program officials say getting kids physically active is only the first step of their goal. “The kids get excited about it. I mean they are doing things that are physically fit that also them to succeed and we all well know if you feel better, you are going to respond better and you are going to do better from the academic side, ” said Larry Carrico of Rent One, Incorporated. The program is in its third year of existence and this is the first school in the state of Tennessee to have it installed.
