Grand Jury Does Not Indict Teacher Investigated for Sexual Assault
The Madison County Grand Jury declined to indict a teacher on sexual assault charges, Monday. According to Madison County Sheriff David Woolfork, the case against the Rose Hill Middle School teacher was no billed due to lack of evidence. In February, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old female student by a male teacher. The teacher was suspended without pay during the investigation. A message left with Jackson-Madison County Schools Superintendent Buddy White asking when or if the teacher will return to the classroom was not immediately returned. The Madison County Sheriff‘s Office officially closed this case.
