A Jackson man is facing child rape charges following his indictment by a Madison County grand jury. Jessie James Hampton, 60, was charged with tow counts of rape of a six-year-old girl. His indictment stems from a joint investigation by Jackson Police and the Department of Children’s Services. The alleged rape happened on March 11 of last year when the child was left in his care. Hampton is being held on a $100,000 bond.
