The Red Bus Project made a stop on the campus of a Jackson university Tuesday where organizers said they hoped to have recruited hundreds of advocates for their cause. Musician Caleb Chapman and his band played a concert on the campus of Union University in hopes of recruiting young people to become active in taking care of special needs orphans through adoption. The band is promoting their non-profit organization, Show Hope. The organization was founded by Christian musician Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife who have a hope of seeing more children find their way into forever homes. “With as many students on board with us as possible so that when we leave that campus we’re in direct contact with the 300 or 400 students that came out that day, so by the end of it, we have thousands of names and advocates,” said Caleb Chapman founder of the Red Bus Project. The stop in Jackson is one of 24 the band is making on college campuses as an awareness campaign for adoption.
