Jackson General Reorganizing Emergency Surgical Services

Jackson-Madison County General Hospital no longer has surgeons on staff in the Emergency Room, that according to hospital leaders. CEO Bobby Arnold confirmed the three staff emergency care surgeons are no longer employed by General Hospital. He said their duties will now be handled by four, on-call private practice surgeons. The hospital maintains the charge will not affect patient care. 7 Eyewitness News had hoped to speak with Arnold on camera about the changes, Wednesday, but he declined.
