Jackson Man Arrested For Marijuana Trafficking
A Jackson man is behind bars Saturday, after drug agents said they arrested him for marijuana trafficking. Investigators arrested 20-year-old Brandon Jones on Friday after serving a narcotics search warrant on his home on Markwest Cove. They said they found three ounces of marijuana (most packaged for resale), a loaded 12 gauge shotgun, a loaded .40 caliber handgun and $477.00 in U.S. currency. Investigators believe the money was from drug sales. Jones has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, possession of a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony, possession of a firearm by someone convicted of domestic violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Madison County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
