Friday Night Kentucky Burn Victim Identified

Authorities have released the identity of a western Kentucky woman who died in a mobile home fire. Marshall County detective Matt Hilbrecht told The Paducah Sun that 47-year-old Stacey Gipson died from smoke inhalation. Gipson lived at the home in Briensburg with her daughter and two children, but they weren’t home Friday night when the blaze broke out. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire that gutted the home, but Hilbrecht said foul play is not suspected. Firefighters were alerted to the blaze by a passing motorist.
