Pepper Enters Guilty Plea In Salon Robbery

A Kentucky woman has pleaded guilty to armed robbery, after Paris police said she and another man robbed a salon in their city. Police accused 47-year-old Christl Pepper and her boyfriend, Robert Cunningham, Jr., of robbing “Salon Effects” back in August. They are the same two people involved in the shooting of Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper Dwayne Stanford last September, after they were pulled over during a traffic stop. Cunningham was killed in the gun battle. As a part of the plea agreement, the charges relating to the September incident were dropped. Pepper’s next court appearance is set for July 26 at the U.S. courthouse in Jackson.
