St. Mary’s Catholic School Hosts Fashion Show
Local teen girls participated in a different type of fashion show Tuesday in hopes of encouraging other young girls to dress modestly. Students from St. Mary’s Catholic School walked in the second annual Pure Fashion Show. Pure Fashion is a national faith-based organization that promotes modesty in young girls by wearing fun and trendy clothes. The models range in age from 14 to 18 years old, train for eight months and learn how to live a Godly life with a pure mind, heart and body. “Respecting yourself, your body, who you are and loving yourself enough to want to represent yourself in a beautiful way that attracts attention to your body and your soul and your mind not just your exterior, would be my number one hope that all these girls come away with,” said Pure Fashion Coordinator, Cherie Graham. Clothing, hair and makeup were all donated to the girls for the Pure Fashion Show. Graham also hopes other churches will get involved to grow the fashion show in the Jackson area.
