Milan Band Remembers Charlie Reagan

Thursday evening, the Milan High School Concert Band performed its final concert of the 2012 season and it included a very special song in memory of long-time supporter Charlie Reagan who was murdered in June of last year. The selection entitled “As The Sun Sets in a Purple Sky” was composed by Dr. Alan Kinningham who is a friend of Band Director Keith Brown. Brown was a neighbor and friend to Reagan. “It’s just our way of giving a tribute to the family,” said Brown. “we want to remind them how much he meant to all of us and that he will always be in our memories.” Several members of the Reagan family were in the audience to hear the special tribute.
