Two decorated veterans biking across the country make a stop in Jackson, Thursday, as they travel across the country highlighting some of the difficulties military personnel are facing. Iraq veterans Jeremy Staat and Wesley Barrientos began their trip from the Wall of Valor in Bakersfield, Calif. They are making several stops as they make their way to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. The two, who are biking to bring awareness to issues like suicide among veterans, took time to visit with residents near the Madison County Courthouse. Staat is a former NFL player and decorated Marine. Barrientos is a Purple Heart recipient and double amputee. Their 4,100 mile trip will end in Washington, D.C., on May 28.
